The PR Path
by TomToronto
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the inaugural post of PR for the People.
I don’t know about you, but I’m excited.
It’s said that if you find a job you love, you’ll never work another day in your life. I’ve struggled with this for a while, mostly because it’s true, but that struggle is coming to an end. I’ve finally found a field that really speaks to me, is meaningful and important, values what I value, and at the end of the day, it’s just fun to be a part of.
I think you know what I’m talking about.
So this is it, the official beginning of a life in Public Relations. I head to Ryerson in the new year for a PR post-grad, get those credentials in order. Communications at York is excellent, I recommend it, but specialization doesn’t hurt. Let the frames on the wall reflect my passion for this business.
I hope you’ll follow along, this is only the beginning. I hope to be actively involved in the PR world, and contribute as well as learn. I hope to initiate discussion more than anything, dialogue is so much better than writing letters to the void. Stop by, subscribe, bookmark, digg, tag, del.icio.us, all that, I hope to keep it interesting.
